Gemini 2.0 Pro Experimental

Product status: Historical record

Google's 2025-11-04 Gemini API notice scheduled gemini-2.0-pro-exp and gemini-2.0-pro-exp-02-05 to shut down on 2025-12-09, a date now past. This exact-generation entry is retained as historical research and leaves current recommendations on that documented schedule; no API shutdown test was performed. This does not establish the model roster in the Gemini consumer app, newer Pro models or third-party services. This page preserves a historical product record. It is excluded from current recommendations. The descriptions, features, screenshots and editorial opinions below describe its historical offering, not a service available to buy or use now.

Frequently asked questions

Why is this comparison kept?

A product leaving a selection does not erase its history. This page keeps the two product records and their status sources available for readers following older references. It makes no current winner recommendation. Check each product's notice for what remains available and what has ended.

Can I rely on the recorded prices and scores?

The recorded pricing model has no confirmed historical price date and is not an offer to buy a current plan. A prior editorial score is an opinion about an earlier assessment, not proof of current availability, maintenance or performance. Follow the status source and check current terms before making a decision.
