METHODOLOGY / HOW WE RATE
How we review and rate AI tools
Our rating methodology, editorial process and corrections policy — in full.
The directory exists to make AI tools comparable. Every score, ranking and pros-and-cons list on this site is produced by our editorial team using the process below. No score is bought, traded or influenced by vendors.
How ratings work
Each tool receives a single editorial score from 1 to 5. It is our editors’ overall verdict after hands-on testing — not an average of user reviews and not a vendor claim. The review count shown next to a score reflects the depth of that evaluation: how many dimensions were tested, how long the product was used, and how many sources informed the verdict.
What the score covers
- Core capability — does the product deliver its headline features reliably?
- Usability — can a new user reach value quickly, without a specialist?
- Integrations — how well does it connect to the rest of a workflow?
- Value for money — is the pricing fair for what it actually delivers?
- Support and documentation — is help there when something breaks?
Our editorial process
- 01Verify — we confirm the vendor’s official website, company details and that the product is real and reachable.
- 02Test hands-on — an editor uses the product on real tasks across its core features before writing a word.
- 03Write in four languages — the overview, pros and cons, use cases and verdict are authored in English, Chinese, Japanese and Korean.
- 04Re-review — listings are revisited when a product ships major changes, and the catalog is refreshed with every directory update.
Corrections policy
Spotted an error? Email [email protected] with the page URL and what looks wrong — we reply within a week.
Confirmed corrections are applied to every language version at once, so no locale ships a known-stale fact.
Conflicts of interest
Submission, review and listing are free. We do not sell placements, rankings, ratings or review outcomes, and no vendor can pay to change an evaluation. If we ever add affiliate links, they will be disclosed on the pages where they appear — commissions will never affect scores or rankings.
Editorial team
Our editorial team tests every tool hands-on before writing a single word. Each listing is reviewed by at least one editor and fact-checked against the vendor’s official documentation. We publish our full rating criteria, review process and corrections policy on this page — and we update them as the AI landscape evolves.
