Bing Image Creator

Bing Image Creator is a feature rather than a product: Microsoft ships it inside Bing and Copilot, on the web and in the Bing mobile app, free to anyone holding a Microsoft account. The vendor feature page describes it as an AI-powered tool and names no model behind it, which matters here, because the OpenAI engine quoted in older write-ups of this listing is not something Microsoft confirms on that page today. Where it is genuinely strong is frictionless volume. You keep drafting images inside the same conversation where you are researching, and when the daily fast allowance runs out you extend it by spending Microsoft Rewards points instead of taking on a subscription.

The catches are all on the same page. Every output leaves with a visible watermark in the bottom-left corner plus content credentials and provenance based on the C2PA standard, so treat results as labelled AI media rather than clean client deliverables. Generated assets are stored for up to 90 days, meaning an image you never downloaded can quietly expire, and the page says nothing about commercial rights, which pushes you to the services agreement to find out what you may publish. Accounts signed in with a Microsoft Entra ID are excluded and the feature is unavailable in Russia and China, so it sits on the consumer side rather than inside a corporate tenant. There is no API: this is a drafting button beside search, not a pipeline you can automate at volume.
