Boomy is the most casual route from idea to released track: pick a style preset — lo-fi, electronic, ambient and similar moods — generate a complete instrumental in seconds, reshuffle the arrangement until it sounds right, and optionally publish through Boomy's built-in distribution to streaming platforms, where plays earn royalties shared with the service. Founded in Berkeley and launched in 2019, it has always sold access rather than musical depth: no instruments, no theory, no studio, and a first release the same afternoon.

The judgement: compositions carry a recognizable template feel, editing after generation is shallow, and per-stream payouts are small unless plays are genuinely high — treat it as a toy that can release, not a career plan.
