Overview

Klap solves a workflow math problem: one long video should become ten shorts, but editing them by hand costs a day. Drop in a URL or file and it finds the highest-energy moments, crops them vertically with face tracking, burns in animated captions, and hands back clips sized for TikTok, Shorts and Reels — what Opus Clip popularized, with a leaner, faster surface.

Selection quality is better than manual on routine talking content (podcasts, interviews, webinars) and still requires human curation on artistic or narrative material — the AI optimizes for hook patterns, which can flatten nuance. Credits-based pricing rewards volume. For creators whose content pipeline is “record long, publish short, daily,” Klap converts the most tedious hour of the week into a coffee break.
