mymind is a deliberate refusal of the note-taking category's homework: no folders, no tags, no inbox-zero ritual. You save images, links, quotes and highlights with one click and the product does the filing, using image and text understanding to bring things back when they are relevant again. The argument is that organisation is the tax that makes people abandon their own notes, so remove the tax instead of gamifying it.

It also treats privacy as the product rather than a setting: no social features, no collaborative feed, no tracking, and a subscription instead of an advertising model. For something whose whole job is holding the things you judged worth keeping, that is a coherent position, and it is the main reason to pick it over a general-purpose workspace.

The trade-offs are real and worth naming. You are trading control for relief — if you genuinely need a structured knowledge base with explicit links, backlinks and queries, this is the wrong shape, and it is a hosted subscription service, so where your data lives and how you would get it out are questions to settle before you move a decade of notes into it. Think of it as a visual memory aid, not an archive you will one day export and rebuild somewhere else.
