Overview

NaturalReader is TTS from before neural voices were a product category: listen to the assignment, the PDF, the page. Speechify is the consumer brand that won the App Store; NaturalReader kept the student-and-accessibility lane and added neural voices instead of dying.

It will not beat ElevenLabs on an ad read. It will beat a paywall when the job is “read this paper aloud.” Voices vary; OCR is a bonus. For accessibility and study, it is still a default download.
