SambaNova sells two things that are easy to confuse. One is an inference and fine-tuning service you can call over an API; the other is hardware and systems for running models inside your own data centre, which is the business its own site leads with — data-centre walkthroughs, a partner supplying AI infrastructure to a power utility, chip performance framed as paying for itself.

That second half is the one that decides whether it fits. If you want to call a model, the practical questions are model coverage, price and latency against the other inference providers, and the vendor's speed claims need your own benchmark. If you are building or refreshing a data centre and the constraint is power, space or cost per token over years, then a vendor selling an integrated system is a different proposition from one selling API calls, and the comparisons to make are against your existing estate rather than against a list of rivals.
