Scholarcy is the triage layer in front of a PDF pile: drop in the file, get a structured card — aims, methods, results, references — and decide whether the paper earns a full read. ChatPDF chats; Scholarcy files. Connected Papers maps the neighborhood; Scholarcy tells you what is inside the house.

It will hallucinate a number if the PDF is a scan from 1994. It will save an afternoon if the pile is this week's alerts. Compared with Elicit it is more extractive and less search; compared with a highlighter it is faster and less trustworthy, which is the right trade for first-pass review.
