Overview
Stagehand v4 provides act, extract and observe primitives alongside code-based browser APIs. The SDK supports local browser sessions and Browserbase-hosted browsers; model inference is another configurable route.
With Browserbase hosting, omitting a model allows its Gateway to select one for each call. A provider API key sends inference directly to that provider; a custom callback uses your own implementation. Gateway support is limited to Browserbase-hosted browsers. Review website permissions, browser recordings, model data transmission and persistent cookies before automating a workflow; documentation does not prove reliability on your target site.
