Overview
Tabby provides a self-hosted code-completion and chat server with IDE and repository-context integrations. Completion, chat and embedding models can be local or remote HTTP services. Pochi/cloud-agent offerings linked by the project are separate choices, not automatically included in every self-hosted installation.
Choose it when you can operate models, indexes, access controls and updates. Server usage collection and IDE anonymous usage tracking have separate controls. A local deployment does not prove that completions never leave the organization: model endpoints, telemetry, support and connected repositories all affect the data path.
