AI Governance
The rules, roles and review processes that keep AI systems accountable — inside companies (policy, audits) and across societies (regulation like the EU AI Act).
Governance is what happens around the model: who approved deployment, what data it may touch, who is accountable when it errs, how incidents are logged and reviewed. Inside companies this looks like AI usage policies, model inventories, risk tiers and audit trails; across societies it is emerging regulation — the EU AI Act's risk tiers, China's labeling and algorithm rules, US sectoral enforcement.
The practical reality for builders is that governance is becoming a sales requirement: enterprises now ask vendors for model cards, data provenance and evaluation reports as part of procurement. Teams that treated governance as documentation overhead find it was actually pre-written sales collateral — and teams that ignored it rediscover the cost at deal time.
